High Weald Walking Festival

Brought to you by the High Weald and Ramblers Association, we are delighted to bring you 50 fantastic self-guided walking routes from every corner of this beautiful landscape, including some real hidden gems - completely FREE OF CHARGE. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a lockdown newbie, there’s something for everyone in this 'virtual' High Weald Walking Festival.

GET STARTED:
  • Visit our Walks page and check out the list and interactive map showing the starting location and length of all 50 routes. The walks are only available for one month and will come down on 1 October, so don’t miss out
  • Click the relevant link to download the PDF walking route, which can be easily printed in A4 size on a home printer. There's no limit to how many you can try - why not see how many you can complete in 30 days? 
  • Make sure you’re signed up to the Festival mailing list as this will be our main way of letting you know if any new walks are released throughout the month, plus ideas for things to spot in the landscape.
  • Let us know how you’re getting on; share your photos and updates when you’re out and about using #highwealdwalks.

Visit Tunbridge Wells - Official Tourism Site

The visit Tunbridge Wells provides a number of brochures detailing activities in the area, including the Tunbridge Wells Circular walk. 

The TW Circular Walk is 27.5 miles long and as you’d expect circles the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells. There are 4 leaflets which provide you with a map and fascinating facts for 4 different sections of the walk. These sections all start and finish in the centre of the town, hence the sum of the 4 walks is longer than 27.5 miles. The shorter routes vary in length as shown below.
​If you discount the routes going through the town (the spokes) and join up the outlying routes of the individual sections, this makes up the TW Circular in its entirety.  You can also obtain hard copies of these guides from the Tourist Information Centre.
 These and other brochures will provide you with nuggets of information about the towns, villages, gardens, stately homes and castles as well as the beautiful countryside.
