The Parish Council is seeking to co-opt two new Members to return the number of Councillors to nine. To apply for the position, you must meet the following criteria:
1. be registered as a local government elector of the Parish in which you wish to stand from the day of your application onwards.
2. have either occupied land or other premises in the Parish as owner or tenant during the whole of the 12 months before the day of your application and the day of election.
3. have resided in the parish or within 3 miles of the civil Parish boundary during 12 months before the day of your nomination and the day of election.
4. had your main or only place of work within the Parish during 12 months before the day of your application and the day of the election.
Information on eligibility and exclusions can be obtained from TWBC:
Applications must be made in writing, to the Clerk. Please also include a statement setting out the skills, knowledge and experience you would bring to the Council, and how you would contribute to its work in supporting and promoting the well-being of the Parish. Your application, to arrive by 4pm on Monday 17th June 2024, can be submitted electronically via EMAIL or in writing to the Clerk at Tyled House,School Hill,Lamberhurst,Kent TN3 8DQ
The Council will consider all applications at its meeting, to be held at War Memorial Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday 25th June 2024, where you will be invited to make a short statement in support of your application, and answer any questions. The appointments will be confirmed the following day.

- be at least 18 years old and
- not be disqualified, pursuant to s.80 of the 1972 Local Government Act and
- be a British citizen, an eligible Commonwealth Citizen or a citizen of any member state of the European Union, and meet at least one of the following four qualifications:
