My priorities are to work with the Neighbourhood Plan team to deliver a successful project. I want to attract some new and younger village people onto the Parish Council which is up for election in May 2020."

New Parish Clerk
"Tracie joined the Parish Council in March 2020, taking over the Parish Clerk role from the long serving Barbara Uren. With Tracie's exemplary professional experience and finance skills, she will additionally be taking a dual role and standing also as LPC's RFO (Responsible Financial Officer) taking over from the long standing, John Francis.
Although these are big shoes to fill, Tracie is not phased in the slightest, and welcomes the challenge with excitement and commitment.
Tracie and her family have lived in the village for 25 years and her career has mainly been in finance and the Public Sector including acting as Bursar/Finance Officer at a number of local schools; making her perfect as Parish Clerk.
Please direct all enquiries for the Parish Council to Tracie Dodd - the Clerk at:

"Recently retired from her time-honoured role as Parish Clerk and then, former Parish Councillor, Barbara has taken a new role as Council archivist and assists the new Clerk, Tracie Dodd, as she settles into her role.
The Lamberhurst community owe a debt of gratitude to Barbara as she has been the driving force at the heart of the parish for many years and she also leads and is involved heavily in other aspects of the community including Treasurer and Archivist of the Local History Society and Treasurer of Lamberhurst Playing Field Association and Football Club.
Author of the “Lamberhurst Book of Remembrance” and instrumental in adding the names of the Lamberhurst fallen to the War Memorial Cross on School Hill in 2005. Awarded a Civic Medallion in 2010 for “Tireless voluntary work, over many years, supporting the community of Lamberhurst”, along with husband John, the only married couple to have been awarded the honour since its inception."

Cllr John Francis
"John is a rare example of a Chartered Accountant who never wanted to be a lion-tamer. Recently retired as RFO yet still a valid member of the Parish Council, who contributes most invaluably to important decisions and discussions on council matters (and anything to do with the art of music!). He is Chairman of Canford Group, Vice-Chairman of The Ralph Vaughan Williams Society, and Chairman/factotum of its recording subsidiary, Albion Records. He is a fifth-rate organist but insists that he used once to be third-rate."

Cllr Samantha Nicholas
"I have lived in the village for 20+ years and I have a passion for the natural environment and local community. I have been working at the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for 10 years; which drives my passion for ensuring our local common lands can be maintained to a better standard, with the help of our local community and Parish commonland group.
I love getting involved with local community activities from being secretary of the Lamberhurst Pantomime Society; helping at our lovely church, tap dance groups run by Katherine Mansi and Amanda Ledger; and supporting the local Bonfire Society. I lead the village Speed Watch campaign and continue to work towards better traffic calming throughout the Parish. I am also on the steering committee for our Neighbourhood Development Plan group and help our village make important decisions that will shape our Parish in the future."

Cllr Steve Cannella
"I’ve been on the parish council for 12+ years and I have really enjoyed it. Of the various groups I’m involved in planning is the most challenging. I was very proud to spearhead new facilities including the new playground sports wall and youth shelter in the playing fields, I’ve lived in the village for over 20 years, I run my business from here, I have raised my 3 sons here and can say hand-on-heart that I love this place!!!
