Lamberhurst Bonfire Society
Lamberhurst Bonfire Society has, for many years, provided a public bonfire festival and firework display on the 1st Saturday in November located on the Chequers Recreation Field, Lamberhurst. Typically the Bonfire is lit at 6pm and Fireworks Display starts at 7pm.
Traditionally there has been no charge for the display and the Society has raised funds via donations online and on-the-night. Fireworks are not cheap to purchase and so failure to raise sufficient means the Lamberhurst Bonfire Society must fundraise throughout the year to meet its target or not run at all, therefore if you enjoy our public display and social gathering please give generously to keep this event running.
As well as creating opportunities for the parish and for neighbouring communities to socialise at these events, our annual bonfire night also helps to boost revenues for some of our pubs who accompany the fireworks display with BBQ type food and drink.
New members of the society are always very welcome. Please come to one of our meetings to find out how you can help. You can choose to just see what goes on, join the discussions, or volunteer some time to help stage events.

The Lamberhurst Bonfire Society also run other events such as the Annual Lamberhurst Duck Race to celebrate the River Teise which runs through the centre of our parish and to raise funds either for charity or to supplement the Bonfire & Fireworks display.
