Thank you for your responses 85% agreed that 20mph zones would be useful to support reducing traffic speed through our village. We have sent the findings to Kent Highways who are looking at funding options on our behalf. The Parish council has taken into everyone's feedback and we do understand that this will not resolve the real issue which is drivers choosing to drive too fast through residential rural areas. We hope to have more information on the way forward by January 2026. You are our eyes and ears in your part of the Parish and please contact the Parish Council if you have issues around traffic calming. In the meantime help reduce speed by driving safely through our Parish. How do we raise issues around road safety? Following concerns raised by residents, Lamberhurst Parish and Kent County Council’s (KCC) Highway Improvements Team have been reviewing speed limits along certain roads in the village we have ascertained several roads 20 mph restrictions could be installed to help reduce overall speed through the village. This is logged through the Highways Improvement Plan (HIP) as well as any other issues around road safety throughout the Parish.
